Wrapping Up the First Semester of the 2014-15 season

Well, it's hard to believe it but the first semester of 2014 is almost over! Fall semester is always a bit quieter for the team since we don't have any road racing but that does not mean that we didn't have fun! Here's a few photos of things we have gotten up to! Unfortunately, the coolest and most exciting moments weren't captured because we were too busy enjoying them!

Here are the six team members who volunteered at the Gran Fondo to benefit cancer patients of a local hospital
This fall we met up with Walla Walla university and did the first ever team ride with both schools!
It's always great to meet more collegiate cyclists!

First ever team ride with a dog (that we're aware of anyways)!
Road bikes on new off road adventures!

Introducing new member to the roads around Whitman!
Some racers did their first ever race in a Whitman kit!

Zander's parents came all the way from the east coast for the local cross race!
We also got a very special visitor! Mara Abbott (google her if you don't know who she is) came and visited us! Did you know that she raced for the Whitman Cycling Team before turning pro?
Here's some of the prep work to advertise Mara's talk and visit. We made lots of posters!

The weather got super nice for Mara's visit too!

The view from a mountain bike ride in the Blue Moutains!

Skills clinic and team bonding all at the same time

In the center of the picture is one of the team's biggest supporters. She had a knee replacement at the end of the summer and she wanted her first ride back to be with the team. We're so happy to see you on a bike again Debi!

Anyways, hope you all enjoyed seeing a bit of what we've been up to. Back to studying for finals for me!
