Spring 2015 Preview!

Hello followers and supporters of the Whitman Cycling Team!

I thought I would write a quick little blog post to let you know what we will be up to in the coming months. If you're going to be near any of our races please come on by and give us a cheer!

We're ready to hit the road again! We can't wait for the racing to begin!
Our first race weekend of the season is March 14-15 in Corvallis, OR. After that we will be heading down to the SF Bay Area for two weeks for training camp! If you're in the Bay Area we'd love it if you joined us on a ride!

The first week we will be based out of Marin.

On March 21-22 we will be racing at UC Merced and will then continue our training camp in Berkeley for the second week.

On Friday March 27 we will be in Portland and will do a little spin before heading up to Bellingham. We race in Bellingham on the 28-29.

Our home race is up next on April 4-5. For those of you who don't know we ran a crit on campus last year with the start and finish right in from of Memorial Hall! We will be using the same course for the crit this year on Sunday.

Putting on a race is a lot of work, but it's also a lot of fun!
Crushing the competition at our home race!
The Men's A TTT on the way to victory at our home race. Hopefully the weather is just as good this year!

On the 11-12th of April we're headed off to Montana for another epic adventure (with some racing thrown in to boot)!
One of those wonderful adventure races in Montana!

The team will then race the Tour of Walla Walla on April 17-19. We will have a much larger contingent racing than in past years.

Conference Championships are in Pullman, WA and Moscow, ID on April 25-26 this year. This is the last race of our regular season.
I think we'll need to bring a sharpie again this year!

Nationals are in Asheville, North Carolina this year! We will be taking a full roster of 8 riders for both the women's and men's TTT. We are very hopeful for some overall team results and are aiming to be back on the podium this year! If you're on the East Coast I know a few alumni are going to be making the trip to Asheville. Feel free to get in contact and we can coordinate!

Our Women's A TTT team took 3rd at nationals last year and are looking to improve on that result this year. Don't think they'll be able to top these socks though!

Hopefully we will be standing here or higher this year!

Hope to see you you somewhere across the country!
